Fall 2009 Art Foundation Kits are now available for immediate pick-up.
We have all the Freshman Foundation Kits in stock. You can come in and pick them up now, or if you prefer, call us and order them over the phone, and we will hold them for you until you arrive on campus.
Our kits are not always the cheapest ones available, but before you purchase one of the cheap generic knock-offs our competitors sell, please consider a few important points. Our kits are assembled fresh every semester, in our store, to the exact specifications of the various professors and teaching assistants. Some of the instructors make last minute changes or additions, and are extremely picky about specific brands of materials. Due to our lengthy relationship with them, as both students and fellow artists, we are able to respond to their demands instantaneously. Most of them shop frequently in our store, and have often stated they can always tell when their students purchased their kits from the art coop, because they are not filled with junk.
When you price other stores kits, please pay particular attention to whether or not the pads of paper are the brands specified on your supply lists, and if your kits come with a durable, waterproof portfolio, or a cheap vinyl pouch or cardboard box. Also check to see if the knives and blades are X-Acto brand. the art coop has managed to survive almost 40 years as an independent, artist owned art supply store by consistently providing our customers with the best selection, quality, and value humanly possible, as well as providing numerous employment opportunities for art students, and donating large amounts of supplies and money to countless charitable organizations.
